Are They Mad? (High Rise version)

from Ridicule Dance by The Real King(s) of Spain

/

about

Originally Are They Mad? was a combination of the lyrics pertaining to Social Media that was eventually released on ;The Future of Mass Hysteria'. The High Rise lyrics were about the gun nests installed on the roofs of East End tower blocks supposedly to ward of terrorists during the London Olympics. The lyrics were the sales pitch of the estate agent selling one of the flats to a customer. It was eventually decided that the message was too complicated and so two versions were created and the Social Media version put on the album. This version was originally released as an extra track on the limited edition CD single 'To Watch Over Me'

The News
A 24/7 Armed Forces and police presence will improve your security and will not make you a target for terrorists.
The top of the tower offers a flat, uncluttered and safe area from which to operate."
The Rap
Golden summers
Silver streams
Bronze and tanned
Brand extremists

High rise living
Jailor flats
There’s no welcome on the mat

Creature comforts
Network drones
Please yourself
In no-go zones

Hang the DJ
Roll the tanks
Make the bankers
Give it back!

Save the children
Feed the world
Bomb the bastards
